Gugu Mbatha-Raw stuns in metallics for futuristic Vogue shoot...

She became a rising star in Hollywood after appearing the acclaimed period drama Belle.
And while Gugu Mbatha-Raw has cemented herself as one of Hollywood's hottest starlets in A Wrinkle in Time, the Oxford-born actress has admitted one of the greatest moments was meeting Oprah Winfrey.
The 34-year-old stunned in a futuristic covershoot for VOGUE, telling the fashion publication's April issue that Oprah had a 'goddess-like' aura about her during their meeting.

The former Doctor Who star admitted that she only met Oprah for a short while on a day of filming for the fantasy film, but would love to work with her in the future.
She said: 'We didn't have any scenes together in Wrinkle. But we were both on the set on the same day and she came and hung out in my trailer for a little bit and we had a chat, in her full character regalia, which is just goddess-like.'

Rising star: Gugu said that while she only met Oprah briefly on set for A Wrinkle in Time, she hopes she gets to work her in more depth in the future
The film, based on the novel of the same name, tells the story of Meg who is sent into space by three mysterious beings to solve the disappearance of her scientist father.
Joining stars including Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Mindy Kaling, Gugu added it was a no-brainer that she wanted to work with Ava on the picture.
Prior to her big budget roles Gugu first gained Hollywood recognition as the star of the period drama Belle, which tells the true story of the titular character, a mixed race woman born into illegitimacy and raised by her white father in the 18th Century.

Gugu said that she wanted to appear in a period film, but also wanted to portray a person of colour that was not restricted by slavery or subservience.
She said: 'As a biracial woman born in the 1980s, if you let popular culture dictate it, you'd think mixed-race people were like a new thing. And that's absolutely not the case.
'People of colour have existed throughout history – it's just who has been able to tell the stories. And that to me became really important: to illuminate that.
'To show that Dido Elizabeth Belle is as valid a story as Elizabeth Bennet… And, you know, Elizabeth Bennet's fictional.'
