Emma Watson stars in Disney's Beauty and the Beast remake

Emma Watson is lured by a red rose as she arrives to her host's castle in Disney's first teaser for Beauty and the Beast remake

The video preview taking viewers through the Beast's deserted castle also features a brief glimpse of Emma Watson's Belle.

On Monday morning Disney offered fans their first extended look at the studio's upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast film.
A minute-and-a-half-long teaser trailer takes viewers through what appears to be an empty castle. A shot of the Beast scratching a painting offers the first hint that there's something living inside.
A woman is then shown arriving at the castle as voices whisper she might be "the one." After Emma Watson's familiar voice calls out "Hello?," viewers get a brief glimpse of the actress in her role as Belle peering at a rose.
The teaser features several call-backs to Disney's hit animated film, including its memorable score, and urges fans to "Be Our Guest" when the live-action movie hits theaters on March 17, 2017.

In addition to Watson, the Bill Condon-directed film stars Dan Stevens as the Beast; Kevin Kline as Belle's father Maurice; Luke Evans as Gaston; Josh Gad as Le Fou, Gaston's aide; Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

The live-action movie will feature a score from Alan Menken, who won two Oscars for his work on the 1991 animated film, with new recordings of the original songs by Menken and Howard Ashman as well as several new songs by Menken and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice.

"I got to ballroom dance with Ewan McGregor." And cue the excited screams (and jealously). While appearing on the Rachel Ray Show to promote Free State of Jones, Gugu Mbatha-Raw also discussed her involvement with Beauty and the Beast. The actress, who plays the feather duster Plumette in the live-action film, discussed her memories of the original film and shooting the film's finale with Ewan McGregor and Emma Thompson.
