Pushing the limits! Minnie Driver shines in shimmery and very low-cut lavender dress at Beyond The Lights premiere
Minnie Driver wasn't afraid to tackle the role of a pushy stage mom in her new film Beyond The Lights.
The 44-year-old actress showed a similar fearlessness as she arrived to the movie's Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday.
Minnie's exquisite frock featured a neckline that plunged to her midriff and was made of an elegant, shining material that reflected the light at every turn.

Grey pointy heels and a boxy clutch made up Minnie's accessories, while her dark mass of curls were allowed to go whichever way they wanted.
The fair-skinned British beauty took the showcase a step further by highlighting her complexion with bright red lipstick.
Beyond The Lights follows a rising yet troubled star named Noni Jean (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) who, unable to deal with her ambitious mother (Driver) or superstardom, intends to end it all.

But she is saved by young police officer Kaz (Nate Parker) and they end up falling in love.
The premiere drew other stars from the film including Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who wore an eye-catching shade of blue.
Gugu's frock featured silvery accents on both sides, a crew neckline, long sleeves and knee-skimming hemline.

Beyond The Lights, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, opens wide in US theatres on Friday.
