Will Smith and glamorous co-star Gugu Mbatha-Raw turn heads at New York premiere for sports drama Concussion
Will Smith was joined by his pretty co-star Gugu Mbatha-Raw for a special screening on Wednesday night of their new movie Concussion in New York City.
The film is based on a true story and the actor, 47, no doubt hopes it will bring him his third Oscar nomination.
For Mbatha-Raw, best known for her small screen roles in Undercovers, Touch and Dr. Who, the movie marks the English actress' Hollywood debut as a bona fide leading lady.

Will, 47, plays a forensic neuropathologist who investigates a possible link between concussions suffered by American Football players and symptoms of brain injury and the onset of dementia.
Mbatha-Raw, 32, plays his love interest, a Kenyan nurse newly arrived in the U.S. who supports him in his controversial work.
The Men In Black star, who was without wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, showed off his sartorial elegance in a bespoke three-piece suit in brown-and-gray check.
He paired it with a white turtle neck sweater and two-tone brown brogues.

The English actress wore a patterned below-the-knee skirt with a black lace top with a black bow at the collar.
She added a pair of heeled sandals with matching black ribbons and carried a shiny gold and copper clutch.
The movie's director Peter Landesman was accompanied to the event by Liam Neeson.
The Irish actor is signed up to star for Landesman in the film Felt, about Mark Felt who was the Watergate whistleblower 'Deep throat.'

Other guests who turned out to support the film included former Brady Bunch star Eve Plumb, models Shanina Shaik and Dai Frazier and actors Ryan Cooper and Danielle Burgess.
Concussion opens on Christmas Day and Will has been busy promoting the movie in New York the past several days.
Ahead of Wednesday's premiere, he headed to The Daily Show were he posed for a selfie with host Trevor Noah and the studio audience.

Meanwhile, Will said in a CBS News interview on Sunday that it may be time to embrace a new direction.
He said he feels he as 'so much more to offer' and the next step might be politics.
'If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they've been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they're going to force me into the political arena,' Will quipped.
